PORT LAVACA - Thomas Franklin Dean, 84, of Seadrift was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital Friday at 10:05 a.m. following a brief illness.
Services for Mr. Dean, who was a retired carpenter, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Seadrift Assembly of God Church. The Rev. R. G. Caddell, pastor will officiate.
Burial will be in Seadrift Cemetery under direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Born July 19, 1880, in Quitman, Texas, Mr. Dean had lived in Seadrift 52 years, moving there from Winters.
Survivors include two sons, W. F. of Point Comfort, Loren of Seadrift; two daughters, Mrs. Coriane Augus, Mrs. Lola Mae Minson; one sister, Mrs Maude E. Sherrod, all of San Antonio; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
