PORT LAVACA - Mrs. Frank Dean, 79, of Seadrift, died Thurseday at 8:35 a.m. at the local hospital following a short illness.
Native and lifelong resident of Seadrift, the former Miss Maggie H. Coward was born Dec 3, 1885, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Coward. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Seadrift with the Rev. Wayne Bennett, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Seadrift Cemetery.
Survivors beside her husband, include two sons, Wendell F. Dean of Point Comfort, Loran Dean of Seadrift, two daughters, Mrs. Lola Mae Minson and Mrs. Corinne August, both of San Antonio, one brother, J.C. Coward, one sister, Mrs. Mary Bryan, both of Seadrift, and six grandchildren.
