Hannah is reportedly the daughter of Edward (d. c1825 in Davidson County, North Carolina) and Christina Burk. Hannah, of English descent, was supposedly disowned for marrying a man of German descent. It is not known when Hannah and Johannes (John) Nading (1787-1870) married, or where; thought probably c1808 in Davidson County (then part of Rowan County), North Carolina. Hannah and John were the parents of at least seven children, of whom six are known, five daughters and one son.
