MRS. JOEL BATCHELLER

BENNINGTON—The funeral for Mrs. Myrtle Belle Batcheller, 96, Bennington, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the North Chapel of the United Church of Bennington, the Rev. Samuel Leonard officiating. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery.

Mrs. Batcheller, a housewife, died Monday at the Ottawa County Hospital, Minneapolis. She was born Feb. 23, 1879 at Culver, in Ottawa County. Her husband, Joel, died in 1944.

Mrs. Batcheller was a member of the Bennington Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors.

Surviving are 5 daughters, Mrs. Mary Disney, 1108 Funston, Salina; Mrs. Verneda Larson, 529 W. Beloit, Salina; Mrs. Elta Watts, Bennington; Mrs. Opal Howard, Plainview, Tex.; and Mrs. Eileen Humpert, Abilene; 4 sons, Dave, Bennington; Roy 909 N. 10th, Salina; Elsus, Lorenzo, Tex.; and George, Corpus Christi, Tex.; a foster brother, Earl Umbarger, Hemet, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the United Church of Bennington and to the Royal Neighbors. Friends may call at the Haley Funeral Home, Minneapolis.
