Addie was the daughter of T. Marian and Mary (Morgan) Trull. She married Dempsey Boger Poplin and they had one daughter: Hester Adeline.

Addie Trull Poplin Mrs. Poplin, 88, of Charlotte, NC, died May 10, 2007 at The Haven on Dorman Road. Mrs. Poplin was born August 24, 1918 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Jake Trull and Amanda Morgan Trull. She was a graduate of William and Mary College and in 1952 moved to Phoenix, AZ where she managed a Beauty Salon and raised her daughter. In 1978 Mrs. Poplin and her husband moved back to Charlotte to be near her only daughter and grandchildren. She was the best mother a daughter could have had and the best and most loved grandmother God has put on this earth. A service to celebrate the life of Addie T. Poplin will be held 12 Noon Saturday, May 12, 2007 at McEwen Derita Chapel with The Reverend Jim Murray officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Poplin is survived by her son-in-law, John Wayne Adams; granddaughter, Lisa Adams; grandson, John Wayne Adams, Jr. and two great-granddaughters, Kirstie and Alexis Koll. She was preceded in death by her brothers, her husband, Dempsey B. Poplin and her beloved daughter, Hester P. Adams. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the love and support from The Haven and Hospice at Charlotte shown to Mrs. Poplin during this time. A special thanks to Jacquelyn Dwelle. The family would also like to acknowledge with much love and appreciation to Sherry Bowden for her special gift of care to Mrs. Poplin and also for the care to her daughter, Hester Adams, during her illness. Memorials may be made in remembrance of Mrs. Addie T. Poplin to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte, 1420 E. Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
