Beatrice L. "Betty" Tisdale died January 16, 2008 at Hospice Woodside in Pinellas Park, Fl. She was born December 29, 1923 in Gainesville, a daughter of the late Claude and Gladys Matteson Bailey.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed time with her family. She was a member of Friendly Rebekah Lodge, was a 4-H leader, former member of Hermitage Grange.
Surviving are three sons, Erick (Linda) of Merritt Island, Fl., Alan (Jacqueline), Roger (Shelia) all of Gainesville; two daughters, Andrea (Greg)Baker of St. Petersburg, Fl., Tamara (Gary) Gardner of Warsaw; one daughter-in-law, Ellen Tisdale of Leicester; a sister, Madeline "Mickey" White of Gainesville; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.
