Former Superior resident, Jana Dee (Bargen) Franck, 63, Vero Beach, Fla., died May 6 at a Florida hospital.
Memorial services were held at St. John's Catholic Church in Bangor, Maine. Burial will be at later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor.
Mrs. Franck was born July 6, 1935, to Herman and Meta Louise (Schleif) Bargen in Superior. She graduated from Superior High School and attended Lincoln School of Nursing. In 1955 she married Robert Franck. They lived in Manchester, Conn. In 1970 they moved to Brewer, Maine. In 1985 she graduated from Eastern Maine Technical College. Her husband died in 1994.
Survivors are two sons, John, Orrington, Maine, and Michael, Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Sandy Leahy, Bedford, N.H., and Tena Carter, Wellington, Fla.; two brothers, Duane Bargen, Lincoln, Neb., and Bill Bargen, Oroville, Wash.; one sister, Feetzie Brazil, Superior; and 10 grandchildren.
