He was the son of the late Marion and Daisy Stokely of Cambridge, Ohio and married the former Frances Rettberg. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Stokley, in 1936.
Russ was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and will be buried in St. Mary cemetery.
