Clarence Woodruff McEwan, 90, our loved and respected dad and grandpa, passed away July 7, 2002 of causes incident to age.
He was born July 23, 1911 in Salt Lake City, UT to William and Mary Alice Woodruff McEwan. Married Mary Frances Leitheiser in Evanston, WY, July 23, 1944. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Feb. 14, 1981. Mary preceded him in death Feb. 11, 1999.
Clarence owned and operated the McEwan Brothers Tea and Coffee Company for many years. Clarence worked as a brakeman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He enjoyed the Weber Canyon, and hunting, and fishing with his family and was a member of the B.P.O.E. active in the LDS Church, he served as ward clerk and as a temple worker. Clarence was proud to be a grandson of Wilford Woodruff.
Survivors; son, Greg L. McEwan; daughter, Agnes Claire McEwan Ferguson (Dallas); children from former marriage, Janice JcEwan Cook (Jerry), Ronald W. McEwan; stepson from former marriage, Paul W. Curtis (Annette) and their four children; grandchildren, Dr. David (Jennifer), Alex Jayde and Tawni Ferguson, Deborah Ramras, Jerry Jr., Scott, Clary Cook; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Joseph, Harold, Douglas.
Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
