The community was shocked and grieved to learn of the somewhat sudden death of Miss Kate Anderson who died at the home of her brother, Rev. Robert Anderson of Orlando, Florida. She was recovering from a stroke of paralysis when pneumonia set in and she began sinking last Saturday and the end came Thursday morning. Her remains arrived from Florida and were carried to the home of her sister, Mrs. E. L. Williamson, Broad Street. She was laid to rest in the family lot in Oakwood Cemetery.
Miss Anderson, who was a daughter of the late Rev. R. C. and Justina Anderson, was 65 years of age. She is survived by three brothers, Rev. R. C. Anderson, Orlando, Fla., S. A. Anderson, Richmond, Va., Dr. J. R. Anderson, Martinsville, Va. and two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Richardson, Farmville, Va., and Mrs. E. L. Williamson, Martinsville, Va.
