The Sad Death.

On last Wednesday, March 29, the death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isom Harris and bore from earth to Heaven, the sweet spirit of their mother, Mrs. Julia Harris, aged 87 years. She was a good wife, kind mother and a loving neighbor and friend. She was sick only three weeks. She leaves four children and several grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure. She had a lovely character and lived as a sincere Christian, dying in the sure and certain hope of a glorious resurrection.
Dear friends, it is hard to think the greatest love ones will have to give her up. Her body was laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Rev. G. O. Lankford conducted the funeral service. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your great loss.

Red Hill - On Wednesday, March 29th, the death angel visited the home of Mr. Isham Harris and took from him his best friend – his mother. She had been in declining health for two or three years but a few days before her death she was almost helpless. She leaves two children, Mr. Isham Harris and Mrs. Nan Johnson, and a number of grandchildren. She was 87 years old and was well loved by all who knew her. Weep not dear relatives for she is now with the angels rejoicing around His throne. Her body was laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery Wednesday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. O. Langford.

April 19, 1911:

In Memory of my dear Grandmother, Mrs. Julia K. Harris, who was born Sept. 16, 1823 and died March 29th, 1911, age 87 years, 6 months and 13 days.
She, being in feeble health for over one year, before her death, bore all her afflictions with patience, putting her trust in her Savior. She was a true Christian and her
friends were many. To know her was to love her. She was more than a grandmother to me – she was a guide and comforter.
She leaves here to mourn, two sons, Mr. I. D. Harris, of Buffalo, Ala. and Mr. Joel Harris, of Atlanta, Texas, and two daughters, Mrs. F. M. Johnson, of Dadeville, Ala., and Mrs. M. C. Prather, of Pine Prairie, Ark., several grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Her body was laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Rev. G. O. Lankford conducting the funeral service.
Dear sorrowing ones I know that she can never more come to us, but let us follow in her foot steps and meet her at the Gates of Gold.
