Prominent Pleasant Grove Farmer Passes.

I. D. Harris, aged 75 years, prominent Chambers County citizen of the Pleasant Grove community, died in a local hospital last Friday morning about nine o'clock, following an attack of appendicitis with complications.
The deceased was taken violently ill last Friday afternoon, June 23rd, and underwent an operation on Saturday, June 23rd (sic). "His condition was serious when brought to the hospital. He was a prominent figure in the life of the Pleasant Grove community, and took an active part in the affairs of his county. He was regarded as one of Chambers County's most substantial citizens, a member of the Pleasant Grove church, where he had served for about 42 years. He had lived in that community all his life. He was twice married, first to Miss Turnham and his second marriage to a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lee, of beat nine.
The funeral service was held from the Pleasant Grove church on Sunday, July 2nd, at 11 o'clock, with Rev. G. D. Hunt, long a pastor of the deceased, being the officiating minister.
Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery, with Robinson & Cutler in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are a widow and a wealth of relatives and friends.
