Mrs. Laura Belle Adams, 61, widow of James Albert Adams, died at her home near Hammers' hall, Highland township Tuesday morning at 9:10 from a complication of diseases. She had been in failing health for a year and was bedfast since last Thursday noon.

The deceased was a native of Adams County, a daughter of the late David C. and Clara (Pittenturf) Currens. She resided in Adams county her entire life and for the last 43 years lived in the vicinity of Hammers' hall. Her husband died June 19, 1917.

Surviving are the following children: Raymond A; Adams, Highland township; Mrs. Ray Miller, York; Mrs. Guy Kime, Gettysburg; Mrs. Raymond Shindledecker, Fairfield, and Earl and Clair at home. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Huff, Gettysburg RD; four brothers, Harry Currens, George Currens, John Currens and Luther Currens, all of Gettysburg RD, and 14 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services from the H.B. Bender and son funeral home Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with the Rev. George H. berkheimer, Arendtsville, officiating. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
