MARY L. HOWELL
Miss Mary L. Howell, Gladstone, died Tuesday morning at her home in Gladstone, where she had lived since 1937 with her brother. She had lived in and around Oregon City for 74 years.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. Squire D. Howell, early Oregon pioneer. She was born April 22, 1865.
Miss Howell was for many years an active member of the Rebekah lodge at Gladstone, until it disbanded.
Surviving are her brothers Chambers Howell, with whom she lived at the time of her death, and Judge E. E. Howell, Jefferson, Oregon.
Services were held Thursday, August 5, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Holman & Hankins funeral home. Rev. E.A. Smith, Portland, officiating. Vault Internment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
