Funeral for Earl E. Legg, 71, of the Oak Ridge Community, Route 6, Hartselle, was to be today at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Webster and the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating.

Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Legg died Monday at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. He was a member of the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church and was retired from the Goodyear plant in Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, Zola Legg of Oak Ridge; two sons, Douglas Legg of Decatur and Charles Legg of Hartselle; one daughter, Josephine Terry of Decatur; one brother, George B. Legg of Decatur; three sisters, Atha Moore and Mary Lee Story, both of Hartselle, and Mayo Mayfield of Decatur; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to include Charles Rockwell, Thurman Pitman, Donald Bullard, James Vest, Herman woods and Kyle Kirby.
