Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Thompson died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at her home. She was born May 21, 1906, to William Lewis Sparkman and Mary Jane Roberts Sparkman. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thompson was the widow of Erby D. Thompson.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Harold E. Thompson of Hartselle and Larry J. Thompson of Nashville; one sister, Stella Jones of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Vest, Medford Long, Kyle Kirby, Timothy Thompson, Oliver Townson, and Roy Barnett.
