W.A. Taber Dead
William A. Taber age forty-five, died at his home in Rome Sunday night, Aug. 31st, after a brief illness of typhoid fever and tonsiletis. The funeral services were held under the auspices of the Masons at one p.m. Tuesday. Interment at Sherrod cemetery. The pall bearers were, Messrs. H.S. Wilson, J.A.G. Reynolds, Henry Klineline, J. W. Haskins, J.E. Bunyard and Chas. H. Cole. Other Masons in attendance were Messrs. A.P. Miller, Ed Jenkins, James and Armon Johnson, James Hutchens and A.H. Buchanan.
Mr. Tabor was a highly respected citizen and known for his splendid traits of character. He was born in Ozark county but spent practically all his life at Rome, engaged in farming and the mercantile business. He was married eighteen years ago to Miss Ida Sherrod, and besides the widow, six children mourn his death. He is also survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Aron Taber, and the following brothers and sister, Mrs. Jesse Nance of Forsyth, Mrs. Dora Hunt of Roy, Charles and George Taber.
