Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Swaner, 97, who died Sunday at the home of Luther Shows in Jonesboro, were held Monday afternoon at the Zion Rest church at Jonesboro. The Rev Carliss Rockett, pastor of the Ebenezer church in Jonesboro, officiated. Burial was in the Zion Rest cemetery under the direction of the Kilpatrick funeral home.
Mrs. Swaner was born in Meridian Miss., and had lived in Jackson parish for the past 96 years
She is survived by Mrs. Luther Shows of Jonesboro, Mrs. J. B. Driskell of Hodge, Mrs. Lillie Knighton of Jonesboro, Mrs. Rob Shows of Bogota, Texas and Mrs. Francis Shows of Epps.
