Old brother, William Strain died Feb, 15th, 1905, at his home in Jackson Parish, La., aged 90 years, 4 months, 10 days. He had been feeble for some time, and was taken to his bed about 10 days before he passed to a better world above. He was born in Bainville District, now Green County, Miss., and was married to Mary Ann Welch Jan. 28, 1841, whom he lived with a little better than 61 years, from which union were born 11 children. She departed this life March 25, 1902. She was born April 9, 1825 and united with Mount Zion Baptist church 1851, and was baptized by Rev. James Scarbrough. There are 8 children yet living. His is also the grandfather of our beloved brother, Rev. W. T. Strain. Brother Strain united with Leaf River Baptist church in Coving----------this world where -------and eternal life, and let us hope that the Christ who whispered peace to the troubled waters of Galilee has whispered peace --the souls of the departed, and that their tired eyes have opened -the light of a blissful immor--
