Verna is the daughter of Iris Kimball and Jack Kelly. Verna married Joseph Horace Eckersley, July 29, 1946, Salt Lake City, Utah (Divorced).

Married Wallace Golden Chase, February 16, 1966, Salt Lake City, Utah.

"Verna Chase, 74, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend, passed away peacefully in her Salt Lake Home, July 15, 2002.
She was born April 27, 1928 in Butte, Montana. She moved to Utah at the age of 18 months and has resided here ever since.

She was an active member of the LDS Church. What she loved most, was spending time with her family and friends. She had a great love for music and poetry and all of God's little creatures.

Her unconditional love was a special gift. She will forever be loved and missed.
She was preceded in death by Wallace G. Chase and daughter April Dawn Chase. Survived by her children; (two sons) Great Falls, MT, and (one daughter) Salt Lake City, Ut; six grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Viewing will be July 18, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Deseret Mortuary 36 E. 700 S. Graveside service, July 19, Elysian Gardens 11:30 a.m. 1075 E. 4580 So. Love U Mom."
