Walter Barfield, Farmer Dies Friday
Walter Barfield, farmer of Route 3, Paris, died yesterday afternoon about 2:30 after a heart attack. He was 79.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. L. L. Jones, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, and the body is at the residence until time for services.
Mr. Barfield was born October 7, 1876, in Henry County. His parents were the late W. H. and Fannie Walters Barfield. He was married in December 1913 to the former Ada Younger, who survives.
He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mike Bridges of Henry County.
