"The LaFayette Sun" - October 19, 1938:

Death Claims Mrs. L. T. Fetner, Tuesday P.M.

Mrs. Irma Harmon Fetner, age 39 years, wife of L. T. Fetner of Beat Four, passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon of this week following an illness of approximately nine weeks. While in ill health for several weeks from the ravages of cancer, her immediate condition was not regarded as dangerous by members of her family. Her ultimate recovery had not however been expected since expert physicians had held out little hope of a cure.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wood Harmon of the Pleasant Grove community in Beat Four and was a member of one of the county's best known and respected families. She was born and reared in the Pleasant Grove community and it was this community church where she worshipped for many years. She became the wife of L. T. Fetner approximately twenty years ago, and continued her residence in that section of the county.
Funeral service was held today from the Pleasant Grove Christian Church, with Rev. G. D. Hunt, friend of the family and pastor of the church, officiating. J. E. Cutler, local funeral plans, with interment in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Surviving are a husband, L. T. Fetner; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wood Harmon; four sisters, Mrs. J. M. Abney of LaFayette, Mrs. L. C. Foster of Fairfax, Thelma and Virginia Harmon; four brothers, Arnold Harmon of Oxford, and Toker, W. G. and Roy Harmon of Chambers County.
