Funeral services will be held at 10:00 PM Monday at Grace Baptist Church in Durant, for Ruth Bryant, 71, of Durant, who died Thursday, August 5, 1999 in Durant.
The Rev. Carol Hooper will officiate.
Mrs. Bryant was born Wednesday, February 29, 1928 in Bee to Walter L. Buckmaster and Edna Bogle Buckmaster. A longtime resident of Brian County, she married Troy Bryant December 29, 1945 in Cobb. 1986 she retired from Texas Instruments, where she worked as a lined technician. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband on April 12, 1998; parents; sons, Terry Dean Bryant and Truman Troy Bryant; grandson Dereck Bryant; sisters Katty O'Donley Mary
Izora; and brother Jay Buckmaster.
She is survived by sons Jerry Don Bryant and wife Cheryl,
London Mills.Ill Rickey D. Bryant and wife Ann, Durant,
Roy Bryant and wife Delis, Clarea,Ok. And Tony Glenn Bryant and wife Melodie,of Howe,Tx; daughter Deborah June Portman, Sherman Texas, brother, Walter (Buck) Buckmaster, of Japan; sisters Lynn Dixon and LaVada Bullard, both of Boyd, Texas.,
14 grandchildren,nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Hill, Michael Don Roth, Ricky Daren Bryant, Donald Lee Portman, Tony Wade Bryant, Nathan Bryant, Timothy Sean Bryant and Michael Shane Baxter.
