Catharine moved from Rockingham County, Virginia, to Fairfield County, Ohio, with her parents. On February 11, 1812, in Fairfield County, she married John FRIESNER, a farmer and millwright.

In 1815, her husband built for them a two-story stone house, still standing in 1908. And her husband built a grist mill two miles southeast of Bremen, Ohio, located on Rush Creek.

They were the parents of Sarah "Sally," Barbara, Daniel, Benjamin, Casper, Michael, and Catharine.
