Anna's obituary was published in the Lebanon Reporter on 02-Mar-2006 on page A8:

"Anna E. Poynter, 94, of Lebanon, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Homewood Health Care, Lebanon.
Born in Jefferson Township, Boone County on June 27, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Orval Taylor and the late Bertha McDaniel. She married Frank Poynter in Advance on Sept. 27, 1932; he died March 21, 1994.
She graduated eighth grade from the Beck one-room schoolhouse, and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1929. A devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, she was active in community service and fraternal organizations. She was a charter member of Jefferson Home Extension Club, a member of Order of Eastern Star (secretary), White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 6, Anson Mills No. 12, Order of Amaranth (secretary and Grand Royal Matron of Indiana), Alpha Zeta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi of Thorntown, president of Boone County Extension Club, and state president of Soil and Water Conservation Auxiliary. She was also designated Kentucky Colonel while her husband served as Supreme Royal Patron of Amaranth.
She was a third-generation member of Dover Christian Church, which her great-grandparents were instrumental in founding. She established the children's junior department there in 1943, and taught for many years.
Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law Janet and Robert Freshour and Jean and Harold Acton of Lebanon and Jane and Harold Swisher of Indianapolis; a sister, Bessie Rice of Lebanon; sisters-in-law Mary Frances Taylor and Evelyn Pennington, both of Lebanon; brother-in-law Winfred Ginn of Dover; grandchildren and spouses Pam and Dennis D'Amico of Yorktown, Kirk and Beverly Freshour, Charlotte and Kent Frandson and Ken and Paula Acton of Lebanon, Mark and Tammy Swisher of St. Louis, Mo., Michael and Karen Swisher of Tampa, Fla. and Susan and Tom Viehmen of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren Jason Behr of Pompano Beach, Fla., Kelli Behr, Gregory and Dana Freshour, Anna Alicia and Andrew Frandson, Aaron and Evan Acton, all of Lebanon, Michael and Kelsey Viehman of Indianapolis, Megan Swisher of Los Angeles, Nathan and Dani Swisher of Seattle, Emily Swisher of St. Louis, and Jackson and Zachary Swisher of Tampa; step-great-grandchildren Holee Bailey, Nancy Bailey and Matt D'Amico of Indianaplis [sic, Indianapolis] and Denise D'Amico of Los Angeles; and great-great-grandchildren Kollin Behr and Cannon Brunes of Lebanon. Her sister Elizabeth Ginn and brother Leo Taylor are deceased.
Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, with Amaranth Rites at 6 p.m. at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon. Service are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, the Rev. Gerald Holdman officiating. Burial will be at Dover Cemetery in Dover.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dover Cemetery Association or Amaranth Diabetes Research; envelopes will be available at the funeral home."
