The funeral for Florene Strickland, 79, of Hortense was held Monday at Satilla Baptist Church, Hortense. Burial was in Satilla Cemetery.
Mrs. Strickland died Feb. 14, 2003.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Strickland of Hortense; three daughters, Gail Denny of Rock Springs, Amanda Jan Moore of St. Simons Island, and Beth Smith of Hortense; a sister, Inez Popwell of Browntown; and three brothers, Elmer Dean Strickland of Melbourne, Fla., and Lawton Strickland and John Strickland, both of Hortense.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
