Thomas "Andrew" Alvey, Sr, 57, of the South End, died Saturday (6/4/1988) at his home. He was a native of Athertonville, a retired machine operator for General Box Co and an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Survivors: two sons, Thomas, Jr and Samuel Alvey; four daughters, Penny Conder, Margaret Foster, Kathy Goodwin and Sandra Ludwick: his mother Mary E. Alvey; three sisters Mary Stanfield, Mary Etta Lucas and Mary Thompson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral; 1030am Tues Billy Howell's Fairdale Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Blvd with burial in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation from 1 to 9pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy, Hospice of Louisville.
