Hugh I. Gadbury, 89, of White Heath, died January 28, 1994 at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Funeral services were held January 31 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with burial in Monticello Cemetery.
Mr. Gadbury was born February 11, 1904 at Nancy KY, s/o James and Velva Dalton Gadbury. He married Louise Fulk September 16, 1928 at Sullivan. She survives along with two sons: Charles "Red" of Monticello; and Richard of Oxnard CA; a daughter, Ileen Gass, Champaign; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers: Berlie Gadbury, Lakeview ARK; and Les Gadbury of Monticello; and three sisters: Grace Gadbury, Monticello; Elsie Snoke, Cerro Gordo; and Mary Sibbitt of Mt. Zion. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Mr. Gadbury retired after farming for 71 years. He was an avid spots fan. Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation.
