Funeral services for Mrs. Vaudine Taylor Crain, 74, of Columbia were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 1997 from the Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Cruse and Dr. Wren Causey officiating. Interment followed at the Hurricane Grove Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mrs. Crain, the daughter of the late Norvel and Lula Pace Taylor, was born in Sikes on March 17, 1922 and died on March 1, 1997 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbia.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd "Mac" Crain of Columbia; one daughter, Cathy McAllister of Warrington, Virginia; one brother, Dalton Taylor of Sugarland, Texas; one sister, Billie Ford of Olla; one granddaughter, Dee Briscoe of Grayson; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Marcus Briscoe, both of Grayson.

Pallbearers were: Tim Burris, Gerald Rushing, Paul Briscoe, Ned Goff, Terry Johnson, and Bobby Johnson.
