She married Irvin Gene Reed on August 23, 1934, in Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers, Russell Anderson, Paul Anderson, and Glenn Anderson. Survivors include her children, Irvin Reed, Jerry Reed, and Leila Nutter, her sister, Ula Ewing, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Soldier Cemetery.
