A telegram was received here last night announcing the death of Mrs Mattie L Rogers of Darlington. The interment will be here on Sunday. Mrs Rogers was the daughter of Capt W H Kennedy of this place and her death is quite a shock to her circle of friends by whom she was greatly beloved.
First wife of Thomas Hamilton Rogers. Married on December 15, 1894. They had three children. According to the 1900 Census, mother of three children, one living; Uncertain of the name of third child or his or her place of burial
Mattie Lou likely died having another child
