Ann Nancy was born to Edward and Ann (Taylor)Ankers/Anchor about 1763. Ann may have been born in Ireland or born after her family came from Ireland. I have found no documentation of where she was born. Ann had three older brothers Anthony, Arthur and Snowden and two younger sisters Elizabeth and Jemima.
Ann Nancy married Daniel Pearce Feb. 5 1782 (Maryland Marriages,1655-1850)
Daniel and Ann Nancy had eight children while still in Maryland...Ezekiel, Nancy, Elijah,Daniel Jr., Elizabeth, Matilda, Edward, and Israel. Matilda,Edward and Israel all died young. I do not know if they went with their family to Virginia or are all buried in Maryland. From Maryland the family moved to Hampshire Co. Virginia where three more children were born... Walter, Rebecca and John.
Daniel moved his family one more time to Champaign County, Ohio, where Daniel for the remainder of his life. After Daniels passing, Ann's sons Daniel, Walter and John along with her daughter Rebecca's husband William Wilson scouted out land along the Fox River in Kendall County, IL. she followed her children their and lived with John till her death in 1840.
Ann was buried on John's farm in the NW corner, which was near Yorkville Rd. about one mile from the bridge.
At this time I have not been able to locate her grave/marker nor where she may have been moved too. There is a chance she was moved to Pearce Cemetery, which was owned by her other son Daniel.
