Einer Christensen was born on December 13, 1917, in Lake Benton Mn. the son of Christian and Sophie Andersen Christensen. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school near Lake Benton. He worked on the family farm with his brothers for several years. Einer moved to Sioux Falls in 1943 and was married to Helen Eich on June 6, 1943. He was a mail carrier in Sioux Falls for thirty years, retiring in 1975. Helen passed away on July 29, 1997. Einer moved to Sunny Crest Villiage in 1998. He passed away there on August 27th, 2000 at the age of 82.

Einer was a member of the NARFE, AARP, and a 50 year member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting animals, and riding his bike.

Grateful for having shared in his life is his son, Glenn of Santa Rosa, California; a daughter, Janice Hurley and her husband Rich, of Sioux Falls; 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Bryan, Lisa, and Aaron; and one great grandson, Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and four sisters.

All are invited for lunch and fellowship at the church immediately following the committal service.
