Albert John was born January 6, 1906 to CJ and Sophie (Andersen) Christensen at Exira IA. Albert moved to the Lake Benton area with his family at an early age. Albert and Katherine lived about one mile apart growing up. Albert grew up on the Earl Lambert farm and Katherine grew up on the Carl Tambo farm. Albert Married Katherine Tambo on March 26, 1930 at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church. After they were married they farmed in Ash Lake Towship and in 1942 they moved to Drammen Township on the old Ringer place. They farmed north of Lake Benton until 1959, when they moved to town for their son, Don, at his Locker. They were caretakers in Encampment Forest, north of Two Harbors MN for ten years. Albert liked fishing; Katherine did baking and cleaning for people.
