Husband of Josie Billingsley Fair. Daddy to Kay Mitchell, Joann Grambrell, Sue Crews, Jeanette Childree, Edward, Gene, Jimmy and Mack Fair. Brother to Lillaree Miller and Betty Ann Newsome, Jack, Alfred, and Orris Fair. Grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Congregational Holiness preacher for many years. He had his own businesses for many years. He had sold coal and lumber at the train depot in Jacksonville. Later he had a landscaping business with his sons. He was killed in a tragic accident with one of his tractors that he was trying to get started by jumping it off from another tractor and was in gear and the tractor ran over him killing him. He was very well thought of and loved by his family and all who knew him. He is greatly missed!!
