Wincer Nathan Buntin Services Set Thursday
Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Strode Chapel for Wincer Nathan Buntin, 85, who died May 1, 1973 at the Westhaven Nursing Home. The Rev. Harry Hix will officiate.
Buntin was born at Bogard, Missoui on January 12, 1888, the son of Henry Albert and Eliza Jane Buntin. He was married to Salina Belle Young on June 6, 1909. She died on Oct. 9, 1952.
After coming to Oklahoma, he lived in Pawnee county and then moved northeast of Stillwater where he lived until four years ago when he moved to Westhaven.
A retired farmer and affiliated with the Diamond Valley Church, Buntin is preceded in death by two sons and one daughter.
Survivors include two sons, Forrest L. Buntin of 1020 S Ducan and Clarence Buntin of Oklahoma City; four daughters, Mrs. Lila Whitten of 1423 Lewis, Mrs. Letha Reeder of Sand Springs, Mrs. Veda Ault of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Sylvia Simank of 1215 Westwood; one sister Mrs. Anna Noah of San Dimas, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Strode Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Point, Oklahoma under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
