Albert Buntin Dead - Obituary
H.A. (Albert) Buntin, one of the pioneers of the Mount Vernon district, passed away at his home south of Pawnee early Sunday morning after a long illness. Past 88 years old, he was a honored and respected citizen of the community. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at Mount Vernon church at half past two o'clock if a daughter arrives from California.

Henry Albert Buntin, 88, died at his home on Route 2, Glencoe, at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at Mount Vernon church Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. J.M. Denmaree, pastor of the Glencoe Methodist chruch, and Fred Courtney, Yale, officating.
Buntin was born in Nicholas county, Ky., April 3, 1856, and moved to Boone county, Ind., during the Civil War. He moved to Carroll County, Mo., in 1876, where he was married to Eliza Jane Canaday. There were four children born to this union.
The family moved to Pawnee county, where he farmed in 1889.
They came to Payne county over 40 years ago and bought a home where he lived until his death.
Survivors include his wife Eliza Jane Buntin, three daughteres, Mrs. Cordela O'Leany, Glencoe, Mrs. Edna Brown, Gravette, Ark., Mrs. Anna Noah, San Dimas, Calif., and son, Wincer Buntin, Glencoe, 24 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
