Services, with Pastor Conn Sadler presiding, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Strode Chapel. Interment will follow at Glencoe IOOF South Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.
He was born east of Glencoe Jan. 7, 1912, to Wincer and Bell (Young) Buntin. He married Maxine Harris May 4, 1938, in Stillwater. He graduated from Glencoe High School in 1932. After attending a business college in Oklahoma City he returned to Glencoe where he worked on the family farm and worked in the area as a roughneck in the oil field industry. After his marriage the couple stayed in the area until they moved to Stillwater in 1962.
In addition to running cattle, he also owned and operated a dump truck and hauled dirt and gravel in the area. He loved trading cattle and continued to do so for the rest of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, one son, three brothers and an infant sister. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons.
