..John was 6 feet, 4 inches tall and had red hair. He lived most of his life in Lancaster County. He moved around alot and has been found in Gills Creek, Buford and Camp Creek Communities of Lancaster County. He spent most of his life earning his living as a share cropper.
..John William was married twice and father 20 children between the two wives. He had 12 children with his first wife, Mary Etta McManus and 8 with his second wife, Hattie Elizabeth McManus. Two of which are still living.

J. W. WRIGHT PASSES AT HIS HOME WEDNESDAY
-- Funeral services for J.W. Wright, 73, who died at his home Wednesday morning shortly before noon will be held at Camp Creek Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. J.S. Corpening in charge.
Mr. Wright was born and reared in Chesterfield County but had resided in Lancaster County for many years where he has been engaged in farming.
The deceased is survived by his widow and the folling children: Mrs. S.W. Robinson, Lancaster, S.C., Mrs. Esther Hefner, Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Charles Humphries, North Augusta, S.C., Mrs. C.L. Riley, Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. J.H. Pilot, Long Beach, Calif., William Wright, Lancaster, Wesley Wright, Lancaster, George Wright, Fort Mill, S.C., Ira, Johnnie, Coleman and Donald Wright, all of Lancaster, Mary, and Onie Lee Wright and Mrs. Thelma Morris of Lancaster.
Interment will be at the Camp Creek Cemetery.
