She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, four children, four grand children, her mother, one sister, two brothers and other relatives and many friends.
A brief service was held Sunday forenoon in Fairbury and the remains were brought to Nora were the funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock in the Methodist church conducted by Rev. H.V. Price. Interment was in the Nora cemetery (sic). Many beautiful flowers and kind words and deeds were expressions of love for the departed and of sympathy for those who mourn the loss of their loved one. The mother, Mrs. Bish, and all the family are very grateful for the kind words and helpful deeds extended to them in this time of affliction.
God wanted a heart so tend,
As to feel the breath of life;
He wanted a hand most gentle
To sooth (sic) in the time of strife.
He wanted an eye to sparkle
When other eyes were cold,
And lips to wear a smile of love
Above a pain untold.
God wanted a faith so constant
That time could work no change
He wanted a way so winning
That manly powers should range
Themselves about that being
And give the homage due,
As so God made a mother,
And gave her to me and you.
