Automobile Turns Turtle, Occupants All Jump From Car, Except The Driver.
J.W. Roby was called to Nora yesterday to conduct the funeral of Dr. Roush who was killed in an auto accident Sunday morning. The doctor has been a resident of Saronville for some home. Sunday morning he had a professional call to the country. In company with three men he started in his car. The roads were quite muddy and after going about two miles they decided to stop and put on the mud chains. The doctor attempted to drive off the road onto a grassy spot where the chains could be put on. The car skidded and the three men jumped out, but Mr. Roush stayed at the wheel. The car turned over and pinned him underneath so severely crushing him that he died in about two hours.
Dr. Azra J. Roush was forty-eight years old and leaves a wife and five children to mourn his death. The funeral was held at the Methodist church at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. T.C. Priestly officiating.
