William Adams was the son of Minnesota pioneers Erastus Adams and Celestia Randall. He married Sadie E. Beebe, also a native of Minnesota, on March 11, 1891, in Caledonia, Houston County, Minn. They had 13 children, all born in Minnesota: Hazel Celestia, Bernice Rachel, Doris Marguerite, Harold Burton, Vernon Taylor, Ross William, Kenneth Donald, Grace Muriel, Wilbur Jean, Winifred Irene, Carroll Arthur, Iris June, and Marian Elizabeth. William's wife Sadie preceded him in death in 1936.
