HARDIN — Thelbert Joyce, 91, of Hardin died Saturday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Mr. Joyce was a former grocery store owner and a U.S. Navy World War ll veteran. He was a member of Ferguson Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Ella Crump of Hardin; one son, Tony Joyce of Hardin; one brother, Darvin Higgins of Reidland; one sister, Evelyn Lofton of Calvert City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was the son of the late John Joyce and the late Ellie Meredith Higgins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Higgins Joyce; one daughter; Kathrine Ballentine; three brothers; and three sisters.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Ferguson Springs Cemetery with Tony Joyce officiating.
There will be no visitation. Collier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
