A native of Golden Pond, KY Mr. Joyce, age 85 died Wednesday at his home. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 181 and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII and Korean War, he was buried military rites. He was a member of the Bluegrass Beekeepers' Association. Surviving are a son and daughter, 3 brothers, a sister, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Genella Chambers Joyce; a daughter, Carolyn Joyce and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Parents: John Allen and Ella Meredith Joyce Higgins.
