GATES, GEORGE PERSHING

Mr. Gates, 79, of Muncie, Indiana, died Wednesday, April 13, 1994, at Westminster Village, Muncie. He was born Dec. 19, 1914, in Greensburg, the son of George I. and Fannie P. (Pershing) Gates. Surviving are his wife, Esther D.; three children; Dale Gates, Donna Wilt and Raymond Green; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Talitha Byer. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

GATES - Services for George P. Gates of Muncie, Indiana, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Steven Funeral Home Inc., Patton, by the Rev. Kenneth Grub. Interment at Beaver Valley Cemetery. (Altoona Mirror, Friday, April 15, 1994)
