Sparta Funeral services for Willie (Bill) Arthur Allison, 82, of Doyle, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, from the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Saylors Cemetery.
Mr. Allison died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Cookeville regional Hospital. He was born January 20, 1924, in
Putnam County to the late William Luther Allison and Dovie Martin Allison. Mr. Allison was a farmer.
His family includes his wife, Mary E. Allison of Doyle;
a daughter and soninlaw, Jeanette and Milton Herron of Doyle; a son and daughterinlaw, Bob and Pat Allison of Sparta; two sisters, Berchie and Willene Allison, both
of cookeville; three grandchildren and their spouses, Terry and Andrea Gear of Doyle, Greg and Lisa Allison of Sparta and Michele and Michael Holeman of Doyle; a stepgranddaughter, Tammy and Michael Brumfield; two greatgrandchildren, Allison Geer and Syndey Holeman; two stepgreatgrandchildren, Logan Holeman and Matthew Brumfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Bros. Doug Benningfield and Frank Davis will officiate
the services.
