She was born March 15, 1917 in Wake County to the late Hurley Dupree and Miranda Austin Dupree.
Cornie was a member of the Knightdale Church of God and worked in the garment industry for many years as an inspector.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel.
Burial is Greenmount Cemetery, Wendell.
Surviving: daughters, DeLois C. Hobbs-Edwards and husband, Billy, Judy C. Detrick; brother, Louis Dupree; sister, Erna D. Myatt; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; five step grandchildren; and eight step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Cornie was preceded in death by her husband, Orin Caddell, son, Lawrence Caddell, grandson, Paul James Hobbs, Jr., and William Cecil Hobbs, and a great grandson, David James Cosentino.
