Erna Mae Dupree Myatt, age 97, of Garner, formerly of Selma, died Friday, October 23, 2009. Born in Wake County on September 6, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Hurley and Marandie Austin Dupree. Her husband was the late Truby Royster Myatt who died in 1977. Erna was also preceded in death by a son William Myatt and a daughter Eva Mae Allen. She was a member of Divine Crossing Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial following in Selma Memorial Gardens.Surviving are: her sons, Royster Myatt and wife Hilda of Hampton, VA, Jerry Myatt and wife Sue of Raleigh; her daughters, Doris Batchelor of Garner, Sue Woodard and husband Bobby of Raleigh, Brenda Evans and husband Walter of Garner, Glenda Joyner and husband Glenn of Macon; her brother, Louis Dupree of Willow Spring; her grandchildren, David Myatt, Lisa Hocutt, Tina Woodard, Tracie Ellis, Cathy Teat, Kiesha Hall and Kevin Evans; and five great grandchildren, Braden Teat, Abigail Evans, Tyler Hocutt, Sierra Hall and Kyler Hall.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 6 PM.The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lawndale Manor for the excellent care that Mrs. Myatt received
