Mrs. Ruth Warner 74, of 307 South Willard, died today at 4:50 a.m at Ottumwa Hospital. She was born to George and Minerva Cramblit Byrum, in Wapello County, on April 14, 1902. She was a member of Christianburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Orville C. Warner; and two sisters, Leora Moore and Bessie Miller, both of Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel. John McElroy of the First United Presbyterian Church at Sigourney will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service and a memorial will be established payable to Gideons International.
Ruth Byrum is buried in Shaul Cemetery (Block 4) in Ottumwa, in the same lot with George Byrum and Minerva. John McElroy of the First United Methodist Curch at Sigourney officiated. (John is the son of Bill and Lucille. John now lives in Australia.)
