Leora Sophia McElroy married Carl McElroy in 1908 in Wapello County. He died Feb. 5, 1937.
Leora Sophia (Byrum) McElroy married Ralph Moore on Dec. 1, 1960. He died July 18, 1978.
She is survived by a son, Bill McElroy of Ottumwa; four daughters, Vera Erickson and Marjorie Myers of Pharr, Texas, Betty Speyrer of Lafayette, LA., and Carolyn Furlong of Coral Gables, Fla., 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bessie Miller of Kansas City.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Whitaker.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. Lary Garrett of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
The familly will be at the funeral home from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
